Description
The Geometric Circle Raised Sauce Dish stands on a high pedestal base, which gives this small dish extra height on the table. Colorful circles are scattered around the inner wall. Some are solid yellow, green, or blue, while others are filled with small traditional repeat patterns, such as a lattice or a grid, in blue or red. A few run over the edge of the rim. The blue is painted under the glaze, and the red, yellow, and green are added on top in overglaze enamels. The center of the glossy white Arita ware porcelain is left plain, which keeps the design light and leaves open space for sauce.
This compact Japanese sauce dish holds condiments, dipping sauces, pickles, and small sweets. It also suits nuts or bite-sized treats, and off the table it works as a catch-all for rings, earrings, or other small keepsakes. Standing taller than the plates around it, the dish is easy to reach and pick up when dipping. Its scattered circles add color next to other Japanese dishware at everyday meals and special gatherings.

Arita Ware
Arita ware, Japan’s first porcelain, originated in the early 17th century in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. Using pure porcelain stone sourced from the mountains of Amakusa, artisans created brilliantly white ceramics that quickly became celebrated for their beauty and strength. During the Edo period, Arita grew into a major center of porcelain production, with its works exported to Europe through the port of Imari, where they captivated collectors and royal courts alike. Today, Arita ware continues to embody the harmony of artistry and function, bringing timeless elegance to modern dining around the world.Sauce Dish
Tiny plates are useful in a number of ways. They're handy dishes for holding condiments, dry seasonings like salt and pepper, soy sauce for sashimi, small delicacies, or pickles. Mini plates are also quite popular to collect thanks to their compact size, variety of designs, and visual impact on the dining table.Shipping & Return
