Description
The Blue Willow White Dessert Bowl brings a traditional Japanese pattern to everyday meals. This Mino ware dessert bowl features an indigo spiral on the inside, a chattermark design known in Japan as tobikanna. Short strokes radiate from the center across the glossy white surface. Outside, crisp vertical ridges run down the cream-white walls, and a rustic brown rim frames the top. The ridged exterior gives the bowl a cool look that suits warm-weather dishes. The blue-and-white palette works with Japanese tableware and fits in just as easily on modern tables.
Sized for daily meals, it is ideal for fruit, yogurt, puddings, or ice cream. It works equally well for small salads or individual portions from shared plates. The medium depth keeps sauces neatly contained, and the simple conical shape pairs easily with other pieces, letting the colors of seasonal foods stand out. Whether for a simple afternoon treat or a casual dinner spread, the bowl is an easy choice for everyday dining.

Mino Ware
Mino ware is a traditional pottery from Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its origins trace back to the Nara period, when early potters began producing simple earthenware. During the Momoyama period (late 16th century), Mino became Japan’s leading center for ceramics, giving rise to distinctive styles such as Shino, Oribe, and Kizeto—each deeply connected to the aesthetics of the Japanese tea ceremony. Today, as Japan’s largest pottery-producing region, Mino continues to evolve with contemporary life, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern design to support the way people eat and live every day.Dessert Bowl
This small bowl is adaptable for any course. It's an ideal size to serve desserts and sweets. For the main meal, it can hold sunomono (vinegared salad), aemono (dressed dish), nimono (simmered dish), or chinmi (special delicacy). It makes a good individual dish for hot pot or when serving a small portion from a large platter. Small bowls in different shapes and colors add personality and variety to your tablescape.Shipping & Return
