Description
The Blue Peony Dessert Bowl features a wide, softly fluted rim and a classic indigo peony design, painted at the center and along the rim. The gentle petal-like edges give the bowl a flower-shaped outline when viewed from above. The indigo peonies stand out crisply against the bright white porcelain.
Its size and shape make it well suited to small servings such as ice cream, fruit, light appetizers, or even a small portion of soup. The rounded form fits comfortably in the hand, making it easy to reach for at everyday meals.
Made by Fukuju Kiln, an Arita ware workshop founded in 1955, the bowl carries on the classic blue-and-white style of Arita porcelain. Its simple two-color design pairs easily with both modern and traditional table settings. Whether used every day or brought out for special occasions, it adds a floral accent to desserts and small dishes.

Arita Ware
Arita ware, Japan’s first porcelain, originated in the early 17th century in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. Using pure porcelain stone sourced from the mountains of Amakusa, artisans created brilliantly white ceramics that quickly became celebrated for their beauty and strength. During the Edo period, Arita grew into a major center of porcelain production, with its works exported to Europe through the port of Imari, where they captivated collectors and royal courts alike. Today, Arita ware continues to embody the harmony of artistry and function, bringing timeless elegance to modern dining around the world.Dessert Bowl
This small bowl is adaptable for any course. It's an ideal size to serve desserts and sweets. For the main meal, it can hold sunomono (vinegared salad), aemono (dressed dish), nimono (simmered dish), or chinmi (special delicacy). It makes a good individual dish for hot pot or when serving a small portion from a large platter. Small bowls in different shapes and colors add personality and variety to your tablescape.Shipping & Return
