The Vintage Checkered Glass Tea Cup evokes the romance of the Taisho era, a period when Japanese tradition met Western influence in art and design. Its soft, milky tones are created through a rapid cooling process, forming an elegant contrast with the classic ichimatsu checkered pattern. The result is a cup that feels both nostalgic and fresh, carrying the charm of Taisho Romanticism into the modern home.

Lightweight and refined, this glass is perfectly suited for iced tea, chilled sake, or refreshing beverages on warm days. Its graceful form also makes it a versatile vessel for serving small appetizers or delicate desserts, bringing refinement to both casual dining and festive gatherings.

This cup can be enjoyed on its own or combined with other designs in the same glassware collection to create a cohesive yet eclectic table setting. It reflects the craftsmanship and history of Japanese glassmaking while adding timeless beauty to everyday life.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
