Elegant, stackable, and rooted in Japanese tradition, the Japanese Tiered Bento Box Set brings timeless design and everyday versatility to your table. Crafted from smooth porcelain in a choice of white, matte black, or rich red, each gently squared container draws inspiration from the classic jubako (tiered food box), blending traditional form with modern functionality.
Use each piece as a lidded container for leftovers, a small dish for side items or condiments, or stack multiple sets to create a refined bento-style presentation. The lid also functions as a plate or tray, making it perfect for compact kitchens, seasonal gatherings, or elegant everyday meals. Whether transitioning from fridge to table or preparing a special spread, this set adapts beautifully to your needs.
Thoughtfully designed for both storage and serveware, the Japanese Tiered Bento Box Set adds quiet sophistication and purposeful charm to modern Japanese-style dining. Choose your color to suit the moment—crisp white for purity, matte black for elegance, or vibrant red for celebration.

More Details
Banko Ware
Originating in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, Banko ware dates back to the mid-Edo period, when merchant and tea enthusiast Nunami Rozan began producing tea utensils in the region. Designated as a National Traditional Craft of Japan in 1979, it is known for its heat resistance and durability, making it ideal for donabe and teapots. Made from semi-porcelain clay rich in minerals, each piece withstands direct heat while retaining warmth efficiently. Balancing strength, practicality, and simple elegance, it remains an essential part of daily life in Japan.
Jubako
A jubako (重箱) is a multi-tiered Japanese stacking box traditionally used to pack and serve osechi ryori (New Year’s cuisine), picnics, sushi, sweets, and family-style meals. While three tiers is most common, jubako can range from two to five tiers. Each tier lifts off to double as a serving tray for table service. Jubako can be wrapped in a furoshiki wrapping cloth to transport foods for picnics and potlucks. Made in various sizes, styles, and motifs, artisan-crafted jubako are considered reasured pieces in any personal tableware collection.
