The Green Carp Streamers Chopstick Rest brings a cheerful burst of color and symbolism to your table. This charming piece depicts a koinobori, the carp-shaped streamer flown in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day. In Japanese culture, the carp is admired for its strength and perseverance, swimming upstream against strong currents, and is seen as a symbol of growth, prosperity, and good fortune.

Finished in a fresh green and white palette with carefully painted details, it keeps chopsticks neatly elevated, protecting your table from drips and creating a polished dining presentation. Its playful design makes it especially fitting for seasonal celebrations, family gatherings, or as part of a themed tableware display.

Blending cultural meaning with practical use, the Green Carp Streamers Chopstick Rest is more than just a utensil holder. It is a joyful accent that brings tradition, hope, and a touch of brightness to any meal.

Chopstick Rest

When setting the table for a Japanese meal, chopstick rests (hashioki) are a must-have item. These rests are essential for hygiene so the chopsticks don’t touch the table. They are also a wonderful way to add whimsy, charm, and a personal touch to your table setting. With so many themes and designs to choose, chopstick rests are quite popular to collect. It's fun to switch them up for different seasons, menus, and occasions.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
