Description

The Edo Dinosaur Rectangular Dinner Plate captures attention with a design that is as whimsical as it is refined. Traditional Edo-style patterns unfold across the surface in indigo and red, each motif symbolizing prosperity and longevity. At the corner, a playful dinosaur breathes out these intricate waves of pattern, creating a scene that blends humor with timeless artistry. The unexpected pairing of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and classical motifs makes the piece both conversation-worthy and deeply memorable.

Crafted in Mino ware, the plate has a smooth, glossy finish that highlights the detail of the design. Its rectangular shape is ideal for presenting appetizers, sashimi, or desserts, and the elongated surface allows for creative plating that elevates everyday meals.

More than tableware, this plate embodies a spirit of fun and tradition living side by side. The Edo Dinosaur Plate invites smiles while honoring centuries of craft, making it a unique piece that transforms the dining table into a place of delight.

Mino Ware

Mino ware is a traditional pottery from Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its origins trace back to the Nara period, when early potters began producing simple earthenware. During the Momoyama period (late 16th century), Mino became Japanfs leading center for ceramics, giving rise to distinctive styles such as Shino, Oribe, and Kizeto\each deeply connected to the aesthetics of the Japanese tea ceremony. Today, as Japanfs largest pottery-producing region, Mino continues to evolve with contemporary life, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern design to support the way people eat and live every day.
