Description

The Edamame Tenugui Hand Towel captures the cheerful spirit of Japanese dining with its lively pattern of edamame pods scattered across a bright spring green background. A familiar favorite in Japanese cuisine, edamame represents freshness and simple joy, and this towel brings that same feeling into your home.

Each piece is handcrafted using the traditional Chusen dyeing technique, where artisans carefully hand-pour dyes to create beautifully saturated colors on both sides of the fabric. The result is a smooth, breathable cotton towel with depth and character that printing can’t replicate. Made from soft yet sturdy Chita cotton, it offers excellent absorbency and quick-drying quality for everyday use.

Ideal as a kitchen towel, table accent, or bento wrapper, the Edamame Tenugui adds a pop of color and playfulness to any space while celebrating the charm of Japanese craftsmanship.

Please Note: Pre-washing traditional Japanese hand towels (tenugui) is essential to prevent color bleeding and soften the fabric. To care for your tenugui, hand-wash it in cold water without detergent, rinsing it multiple times if necessary. After washing, air-dry the tenugui in the shade to preserve its vibrant colors. It is also recommended to store the tenugui away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. Following these steps will help maintain its beauty and durability over time.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
