Description
The Chrysanthemum Leaves Salad Plate features a finely detailed indigo pattern that radiates outward like layers of chrysanthemum petals. Rows of small white petals, each outlined and shaded with fine indigo lines, open from the center toward the thin brown rim, so the whole plate reads as a single flower in full bloom. Made of Mino ware porcelain, it is durable enough for both everyday meals and special occasions.
With its gentle curves and medium size, the plate is well suited for leafy salads or smaller main courses, and a few set out at a party make good appetizer plates. The rhythmic blue-and-white motif adds visual texture to the table, and the softly contoured rim gives the plate a gentle outline.
A sauce dish and two dessert bowls share the same chrysanthemum pattern, making it simple to assemble coordinated Japanese plates and bowls. The plate also pairs well with both classic and modern tableware, whether used on its own or within a layered setting.

Mino Ware
Mino ware is a traditional pottery from Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its origins trace back to the Nara period, when early potters began producing simple earthenware. During the Momoyama period (late 16th century), Mino became Japan’s leading center for ceramics, giving rise to distinctive styles such as Shino, Oribe, and Kizeto—each deeply connected to the aesthetics of the Japanese tea ceremony. Today, as Japan’s largest pottery-producing region, Mino continues to evolve with contemporary life, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern design to support the way people eat and live every day.Salad Plate
Medium plates are ideal for individual salads, appetizers, side dishes, and breakfast toast, or to serve individual portions from a family-style platter. This is also the perfect size plate for the main dish in the traditional Japanese washoku meal called ichiju sansai.Shipping & Return
