The Blue Willow Salad Plate features a striking hand-drawn motif that radiates from the center in rhythmic, indigo brushstrokes. Inspired by traditional Japanese patterns that express wind and flow, this spiral design resembles scattered gusts and swirling motion, creating a calm yet dynamic presence on the table.
Crafted from Mino ware porcelain, the plate offers both beauty and everyday practicality. The vivid indigo lines stand out against a soft white background, while the slightly textured brown rim adds a refined, earthy touch. Its versatile size makes it ideal for salads, seasonal side dishes, or ichiju sansai-style meals, and it pairs naturally with both traditional and modern Japanese Tableware.
Whether used on its own or in a coordinated setting, this piece adds quiet elegance and intention to daily dining. A reflection of Japan’s appreciation for movement, balance, and form, it invites you to enjoy each meal with a sense of connection and care.

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics. We offer a flat rate of USD $25 for shipping to the U.S., and Free Shipping on orders over USD $199.
