The Blue Willow Dinner Plate showcases a mesmerizing chrysanthemum motif composed of fine petal-like strokes radiating from the center. This intricate pattern, known as Mujina-giku, is hand-applied in soft indigo pigment and evokes both tradition and movement. Crafted from Mino ware porcelain, it reflects over a thousand years of Japanese ceramic artistry rooted in Gifu Prefecture.

Its wide surface and softly curved rim make it well-suited for serving main courses, shared appetizers, or complete one-plate meals. Whether used for seasonal Japanese dishes or everyday Western fare, the pattern remains partially visible beneath the food, adding quiet beauty to each presentation.

Elegant yet practical, this plate offers durability for daily use and a sense of refinement for special occasions. It blends effortlessly into both traditional and modern table settings, bringing texture, craftsmanship, and a timeless touch to your dining experience.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
