The Black Dew Donburi Bowl offers a refined, earthy presence that brings quiet depth to the dining table. Crafted in Japan from durable Mino ware, this bowl features a wide mouth and gently flared rim, making it well-suited for generous servings of donburi, udon, or soba. Its slightly curved base creates a natural cradle for rice or broth, while the low foot provides balance and lift.
The matte glaze, a deep brownish-black, has a subtle texture that catches the light softly and adds visual warmth. Its surface evokes a sense of stillness, reminiscent of dew settling on dark stone. The rustic finish contrasts beautifully with vibrant ingredients, making each dish feel more grounded and intentional.
Equally appropriate for everyday meals or seasonal gatherings, this bowl is a versatile piece that complements both modern and traditional settings. It reflects the understated elegance of Japanese ceramics—practical in form, thoughtful in spirit, and rooted in quiet beauty.

Donburi Bowl
This medium bowl is designed to serve the quintessential Japanese comfort meal called donburi, a one-bowl rice dish. Don (丼) refers to this special bowl in which fluffy steamed rice is topped with seasoned vegetables, meat and/or seafood, and garnishes. It's perfect for dishes like chicken and egg bowl (oyakodon), grilled eel bowl (unadon), poke bowl, mapo tofu, and minced chicken bowl (soboro don). It also doubles as a noodle bowl for a small serving of udon or soba noodle soup.Mino Ware
Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics. We offer a flat rate of USD $25 for shipping to the U.S., and Free Shipping on orders over USD $199.
