Intricately patterned and thoughtfully designed, the Basket Weave Ramen Bowl brings a sense of refined structure to the dining table. Inspired by the traditional ajiro (woven bamboo) motif, the indigo pattern is precisely applied to smooth white porcelain, forming a harmonious flow of geometry and rhythm. The sharp contrast between deep blue and white highlights the crisp, modern composition while honoring a classic aesthetic.

Its flared shape accommodates generous portions of ramen, donburi, or soup, while the bamboo-colored pedestal base adds a warm, organic accent. The elevated base also provides balance and a comfortable grip, making it practical for both everyday use and special meals.

Whether used for hot noodle dishes in winter or cold somen in summer, this bowl adapts naturally to the seasons. With its clean lines and timeless pattern, it blends tradition with clarity, structure, and functionality. A versatile addition to your table, it brings quiet beauty and intentional design to any meal.

Ramen Bowl

This type of large bowl is ideal for serving noodle soup dishes like Japanese ramen, udon, and soba. Called ramen bachi (ラーメン鉢), they come in a variety of shapes and styles like fan-shaped, trumpet-shaped, high-footed, wide-mouthed, or multipurpose. Flatter and wider bowls typically hold more soup, noodles, and toppings. A ramen bowl also works for other types of dishes like pho, pasta, and entreé salads.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
