Rooted in quiet simplicity, the Serene Textured Sauce Dish brings warmth and texture to your table. Crafted from durable Mino ware, this small dish features a softly raised rim and a hand-finished surface with a gentle brush of white glaze. Subtle speckling throughout the porcelain adds visual depth, recalling the natural qualities of unglazed stone and traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

Its compact size makes it perfect for serving soy sauce, pickles, citrus wedges, or finely chopped garnishes. The raised edge keeps liquids contained, while the textured center creates a sense of grounded beauty even in the smallest moments of dining. Each piece is slightly unique, reflecting the artisan’s touch and the individuality of hand-applied glaze.

Thoughtful and unpretentious, this dish pairs easily with both rustic and refined Japanese Tableware. Whether used daily or as part of a carefully curated setting, it offers functionality wrapped in the comfort of natural design. A subtle yet memorable addition to any meal.

Tiny plates are useful in a number of ways. They're handy dishes for holding condiments, dry seasonings like salt and pepper, soy sauce for sashimi, small delicacies, or pickles. Mini plates are also quite popular to collect thanks to their compact size, variety of designs, and visual impact on the dining table.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
