Description

The Scenic Mount Fuji Dessert Plate showcases the timeless beauty of Arita ware porcelain, blending traditional artistry with a refined, modern sensibility. At its center, Japan’s most iconic peak is depicted in soft indigo blue, framed within a circular window that evokes the style of classic Japanese paintings. Surrounding the scene are delicately painted plum blossoms in warm red, green bamboo leaves, and two graceful Japanese warblers, each rendered with fine detail and balance.

The plate’s gently raised rim adds a touch of elegance while helping to frame and protect the intricate design. Perfectly sized for serving desserts, fruit, or small appetizers, it is equally suited for display as a decorative piece.

Crafted by skilled artisans using techniques passed down through generations, the Scenic Mount Fuji Dessert Plate pairs beautifully with both traditional and contemporary table settings. A piece rich in cultural symbolism, it brings a serene, poetic charm to any dining occasion.

Arita Ware

Arita ware, Japan’s first porcelain, originated in the early 17th century in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. Using pure porcelain stone sourced from the mountains of Amakusa, artisans created brilliantly white ceramics that quickly became celebrated for their beauty and strength. During the Edo period, Arita grew into a major center of porcelain production, with its works exported to Europe through the port of Imari, where they captivated collectors and royal courts alike. Today, Arita ware continues to embody the harmony of artistry and function, bringing timeless elegance to modern dining around the world.
