The Circular Arabesque Raised Rim Sauce Dish brings traditional charm and quiet beauty to the table. Handcrafted in Japan from durable Mino ware, this small porcelain dish features a soft round form with a slightly raised rim that helps contain sauces and seasonings. The surface is adorned with a fine arabesque pattern rendered in deep indigo, creating a swirling sense of movement and rhythm across the glossy white background.

The intricate design is inspired by classic Japanese motifs and is applied using a dotting technique that adds texture and visual depth. Its compact size makes it perfect for soy sauce, pickles, condiments, or small side bites. The raised edge adds function while enhancing the overall shape, making it easy to use and enjoyable to hold.

Whether used as part of a coordinated tableware set or on its own, this dish pairs naturally with both rustic and refined Japanese Tableware. It offers a blend of tradition, craft, and daily utility that brings thoughtful detail to every meal.

Sauce Dish

Tiny plates are useful in a number of ways. They're handy dishes for holding condiments, dry seasonings like salt and pepper, soy sauce for sashimi, small delicacies, or pickles. Mini plates are also quite popular to collect thanks to their compact size, variety of designs, and visual impact on the dining table.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
