Denpei Kiln

Founded in the late Edo period in Arita, Saga Prefecture, Denpei Kiln continues the distinguished tradition of Arita ware while creating tableware that unites creativity and function. Known for its kakiotoshi technique, in which painted layers are carved away to reveal delicate designs, the kiln produces pieces that feel both playful and refined. Each creation reflects originality and warmth, bringing a fresh charm to the modern dining experience.

Arita Ware

Arita ware, Japan’s first porcelain, originated in the early 17th century in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. Using pure porcelain stone sourced from the mountains of Amakusa, artisans created brilliantly white ceramics that quickly became celebrated for their beauty and strength. During the Edo period, Arita grew into a major center of porcelain production, with its works exported to Europe through the port of Imari, where they captivated collectors and royal courts alike. Today, Arita ware continues to embody the harmony of artistry and function, bringing timeless elegance to modern dining around the world.

Sauce Dish

Tiny plates are useful in a number of ways. They're handy dishes for holding condiments, dry seasonings like salt and pepper, soy sauce for sashimi, small delicacies, or pickles. Mini plates are also quite popular to collect thanks to their compact size, variety of designs, and visual impact on the dining table.
