The Rustic Red Comb Pattern Pasta Bowl brings warmth and depth to any dining table. Crafted in Mino Ware, it features a bold vermilion glaze on the exterior that flows seamlessly into a walnut-brown interior, where a fine comb-textured pattern radiates outward. The design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese suribachi mortars, blending a sense of heritage with a distinctly modern appeal.

Its generous size makes it versatile for countless dishes. Perfect for noodles such as soba or somen, it also accommodates pasta, curry, rice dishes, salads, and hearty meals with ease. The elevated footed base adds stability and presence, while the contrasting two-tone surface makes each dish stand out beautifully. Durable enough for everyday use yet elegant for special occasions, this bowl embodies both functionality and artistry. A timeless example of Japanese tableware, the Rustic Red Comb Pattern Pasta Bowl enriches daily meals with texture, color, and cultural character.

Pasta Bowl

Large bowls like these are the right size and shape for one-plate dishes like pasta, Japanese curry rice, stews, or somen and soba noodle dishes. Thanks to a wide, deep-plate shape, this type of bowl can easily hold a four-serving main dish with its braising liquid or sauce.

Mino Ware

Mino ware refers to pottery traditionally made in Japan’s eastern Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Tajimi, Toki, Mizunami, and Kani. This ancient method of producing elegant, durable ceramics has roots going back over 1300 years to Japan’s Kofun period in the 7th century. Typically found nested into the mountainsides, the unique kilns used to produce Mino ware are often referred to as anagama kilns, and the master artisans producing these stunning products continue to adhere to rigid standards to produce only the highest quality ceramics.
