Description
The Blue Striped Dessert Bowl features vivid indigo stripes on a pure white porcelain background, a color scheme deeply rooted in Japanese tradition. The bold vertical lines run inside and out on a square form that widens gently toward the rim, giving a classic pattern a modern shape. It is made at Oshin Kiln, which has produced Hasami ware since 1685.
Its compact size makes it ideal for serving desserts, fresh fruit, appetizers, small salads, or soups. The deep, flared sides hold dressed salads and puddings neatly. The smooth glaze deepens the indigo lines and gives them a crisp, glossy finish.
The Blue Striped Dessert Bowl suits both Japanese and Western table settings. Whether used alone or paired with other pieces, it works for everyday meals as well as special occasions.

Hasami Ware
Hasami ware, a traditional porcelain from Nagasaki Prefecture, has been crafted for over 400 years in the town of Hasami—just about 10 kilometers from Arita, the birthplace of Japan’s porcelain. While Arita ware flourished as an art form known for its elaborate decorations and luxury appeal, Hasami developed as a center for everyday tableware, valued for its practicality and refined simplicity. During the Edo period, Hasami became one of Japan’s main producers of daily-use porcelain, supplying durable and beautifully made pieces to households across the country. That spirit continues today, as Hasami artisans blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating timeless and often playfully charming tableware that fits perfectly into contemporary life.Dessert Bowl
This small bowl is adaptable for any course. It's an ideal size to serve desserts and sweets. For the main meal, it can hold sunomono (vinegared salad), aemono (dressed dish), nimono (simmered dish), or chinmi (special delicacy). It makes a good individual dish for hot pot or when serving a small portion from a large platter. Small bowls in different shapes and colors add personality and variety to your tablescape.Shipping & Return
