Description

Prepare smoother matcha with less effort using the Japanese Matcha Sifter Canister. Matcha naturally compacts into small clumps, even when freshly opened, and those clumps can be difficult to break apart completely with a bamboo whisk. Sifting the powder first creates a finer, more even texture that mixes more readily with water and helps produce a smoother bowl of matcha.

Place the matcha on the fine mesh screen inside the canister, then gently tilt and turn it. Loose rings resting on the screen move across the powder, helping press it through the mesh and into the chamber below. Once sifted, the matcha can remain neatly contained under the lid until you are ready to prepare it, eliminating the need for a separate sieve and container.

Compact and designed for the smaller quantities typically prepared at home, the Japanese Matcha Sifter Canister makes an important step in matcha preparation simple and tidy. Each canister is made by hand and may show slight individual variations, reflecting the character of its craftsmanship. It arrives neatly packaged in a paper box for storage or gifting.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
