While Arita ware flourished as an art form known for its elaborate decorations and luxury appeal, Hasami developed as a center for everyday tableware, valued for its practicality and refined simplicity. During the Edo period, Hasami became one of Japanfs main producers of daily-use porcelain, supplying durable and beautifully made pieces to households across the country. That spirit continues today, as Hasami artisans blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating timeless and often playfully charming tableware that fits perfectly into contemporary life.
