The Hinoki Rice Paddle is a beautiful expression of Japanese craftsmanship and everyday practicality. Made from natural hinoki (Japanese cypress), it offers a lightweight yet sturdy feel with a smooth, straight grain that releases rice effortlessly without sticking. The gentle curve of the paddle is designed to fold and serve rice gracefully, while the wide handle provides a comfortable, balanced grip.

Each paddle carries a subtle hinoki aroma, evoking the calm and freshness of Japanese forests. Known for its natural antibacterial properties and water resistance, hinoki wood is ideal for kitchen use and easy to maintain with gentle hand washing.

Handcrafted in Japan, the Hinoki Rice Paddle is perfect for use with traditional donabe, rice cookers, or wooden rice tubs. Whether serving fluffy white rice or seasoned mixed rice, this timeless utensil adds warmth, authenticity, and a touch of Japanese tradition to your dining table.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
