Description
With its vintage blue and white look, the Retro Dyed Landscape Donburi Bowl follows a classic style of Mino ware. Its exterior is decorated with landscape scenes in soft indigo, showing mountains, water, small boats, and trees inside cloud-shaped panels. A scrolling wave-like border lines the interior rim, while a narrow unglazed band circles the outside just below it. The foot is also left unglazed, showing the pale clay beneath.
This round bowl is ideal for serving donburi rice dishes, soba, or udon noodle soups. Its depth and wide opening make it practical for hearty meals, while the sturdy porcelain body holds up well to daily use.
Its traditional Japanese design works for everyday family meals as well as more formal occasions. The blue and white landscapes pair easily with other porcelain bowls and plates.

Mino Ware
Mino ware is a traditional pottery from Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its origins trace back to the Nara period, when early potters began producing simple earthenware. During the Momoyama period (late 16th century), Mino became Japan’s leading center for ceramics, giving rise to distinctive styles such as Shino, Oribe, and Kizeto—each deeply connected to the aesthetics of the Japanese tea ceremony. Today, as Japan’s largest pottery-producing region, Mino continues to evolve with contemporary life, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern design to support the way people eat and live every day.Donburi Bowl
This medium bowl is designed to serve the quintessential Japanese comfort meal called donburi, a one-bowl rice dish. Don (丼) refers to this special bowl in which fluffy steamed rice is topped with seasoned vegetables, meat and/or seafood, and garnishes. It's perfect for dishes like chicken and egg bowl (oyakodon), grilled eel bowl (unadon), poke bowl, mapo tofu, and minced chicken bowl (soboro don). It also doubles as a noodle bowl for a small serving of udon or soba noodle soup.Shipping & Return
