This Non-stick Comfort 3-Cup Rice Donabe has several advantages for preparing perfectly cooked rice, including a two-lid system, excellent heat transfer capability, and a non-stick glaze. Cooking rice in this non-stick pot is easy; combine rice and water and cook on medium heat for 13 minutes (reducing heat if the rice begins to boil over). After 13 minutes of cooking, turn off the heat and allow the rice to steam for 15-20 minutes. Please note that clay donabe pots absorb water, so pre-soaking rice in a separate container is advised. The robust clay pots are also direct-flame friendly, making them versatile for a wide range of uses. Classic donabe styling, an attractive domed lid, and well-shaped handles make this donabe well-suited to intimate table service meals.
