Description
The Sakura Blossom Dessert Plate brings the spirit of spring to the table with its hand-painted cherry blossom design. A slender brown branch curves along one side of the plate, dotted with pink blossoms and small green buds, while a few loose petals drift across the pale white surface. A soft pink wash colors one end of the rim. The motif recalls sakura season, when blossoms fill the air and friends gather to enjoy them.
Made of Arita ware porcelain at Ichimu Kiln, a small studio in Arita run by a husband-and-wife team, this rectangular plate has a flat center and a wide, gently raised rim. It suits tea cakes, petite desserts, or small appetizers, and the open white space lets the food stand out for everyday meals or festive occasions.
A matching Sakura Blossom Serving Plate is also available, so you can set out a spring table with Japanese plates in the same design. The plate also makes a cheerful choice among Japanese gifts, especially in spring.

Arita Ware
Arita ware, Japan’s first porcelain, originated in the early 17th century in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. Using pure porcelain stone sourced from the mountains of Amakusa, artisans created brilliantly white ceramics that quickly became celebrated for their beauty and strength. During the Edo period, Arita grew into a major center of porcelain production, with its works exported to Europe through the port of Imari, where they captivated collectors and royal courts alike. Today, Arita ware continues to embody the harmony of artistry and function, bringing timeless elegance to modern dining around the world.Dessert Plate
Dinner plates are multifunctional for both Japanese and Western-style meals. Serve an individual composed meal this large plate or a one-plate dish like pasta and Japanese curry. You can also use it as a platter for four servings or for plating ingredients for hot pot.Shipping & Return
