Add a touch of structured elegance to your table with the Red Lined Pentagonal Condiment Bowl, a refined piece of Hasami ware crafted with precision and care. Shaped into a clean five-sided form, this small bowl brings a subtle geometric rhythm to your table setting while maintaining a sense of warmth and charm.

Each panel is carefully outlined with hand-painted amber-red lines, offering a striking contrast against the soft white porcelain. A delicate copper-toned rim adds definition and a slightly metallic sheen that complements both traditional and modern styles. The flared shape provides visual interest and makes the bowl easy to handle.

Ideal for serving condiments, small sweets, nuts, or seasonal bites, this bowl is as practical as it is beautiful. Whether used on its own or paired with other pieces from your Japanese Tableware collection, it brings thoughtful craftsmanship and understated beauty to everyday dining.

Condiment Bowl

These small bowls come in many shapes and serve different purposes. They are generally suitable for condiments, dry seasonings like salt, garnishes, toppings, soy sauce for sashimi, pickles, small delicacies, and butter and jam. Deeper small dishes shaped like a cup are suitable for noodle dipping sauce. Tiny bowls are a popular size to collect thanks to their visual interest, compact size, and usefulness.

Hasami Ware

The lineage of Hasami ware porcelain dates back over 400 years, and modern artisans still use many of the same time-honored methods to create their stunning pieces. Hasami ware, originating from the town of Hasami, shares close ties to porcelain from the Arita region of Japan, but each style produces its own unique pieces.
