Add a touch of charm and warmth to your kitchen with the Hinoki Wood Cat Paw Trivet. Made from upcycled offcuts of Shikoku-grown hinoki cypress, this trivet is both eco-conscious and endearing, featuring a delightful cat paw print shape that brings a playful personality to everyday cooking.
Hinoki is prized in Japan for its natural resistance to heat and moisture, making it an excellent material for a kitchen trivet. The gentle fragrance of the wood adds a subtle sensory pleasure, while the paw print design makes it a joy to have on display even when not in use. A thoughtful and charming gift for cat lovers, cooks, and anyone who appreciates the small details of Japanese craft.

Founded in 1970 in Kochi, Tosaryu creates wooden kitchenware and household tools from Shimanto Hinoki, a cypress nurtured by the clear waters of the Shimanto River. Using thinned wood and offcuts, each piece is air-dried slowly for several months to preserve its natural fragrance and smooth texture. Inspired by a deep respect for nature, Tosaryu’s creations bring calm and warmth to daily life, offering tools that age gracefully and connect people to the gentle beauty of wood.
See Tosaryu craftspeople hand-finish each fragrant hinoki cutting board from a single piece of wood, revealing the warm, natural grain of Japanese cypress — complete with a sleek modern stand.
