Description
The Blue Willow Dessert Bowl features a spiraling indigo pattern on a soft white background, in the rustic style of Mino ware. The pattern, known in Japan as tobikanna (a chattermark design), radiates from the center in rows of short, rhythmic strokes that draw the eye inward. On the outside, a deep blue-green glaze with natural variation in tone covers the bowl down to its white foot.
Durable and easy to handle, this bowl is well suited for everyday dining. Its compact size makes it ideal for serving fruit, desserts, or small portions of salad. It also works well for side dishes or individual servings from larger platters. The tactile glaze and the contrast of indigo and white make even simple foods look more vibrant.
The Blue Willow Dessert Bowl brings the look of Japanese folk pottery to daily meals. It suits casual meals as well as more carefully set tables.

Mino Ware
Mino ware is a traditional pottery from Gifu Prefecture with a history of more than 1,300 years. Its origins trace back to the Nara period, when early potters began producing simple earthenware. During the Momoyama period (late 16th century), Mino became Japan’s leading center for ceramics, giving rise to distinctive styles such as Shino, Oribe, and Kizeto—each deeply connected to the aesthetics of the Japanese tea ceremony. Today, as Japan’s largest pottery-producing region, Mino continues to evolve with contemporary life, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern design to support the way people eat and live every day.Dessert Bowl
This small bowl is adaptable for any course. It's an ideal size to serve desserts and sweets. For the main meal, it can hold sunomono (vinegared salad), aemono (dressed dish), nimono (simmered dish), or chinmi (special delicacy). It makes a good individual dish for hot pot or when serving a small portion from a large platter. Small bowls in different shapes and colors add personality and variety to your tablescape.Shipping & Return
