Fresh from the kiln or fresh from the oven? The Toasty Baguette Chopstick Rest looks so realistic that it could be mistaken for a bite-sized loaf. Handcrafted in the tradition of Arita ware, this whimsical rest captures the golden crust and scored surface of a French baguette in miniature. Each piece is individually shaped, hand-painted, glazed, and fired, showcasing the artistry behind its playful design.

Beyond its lifelike charm, the rest serves a practical purpose. The softly curved form holds chopsticks neatly in place, keeping them clean while adding character to the table. It is a small but meaningful detail that turns everyday dining into a more enjoyable experience.

Whether gifted to a food lover or added to your own collection, this baguette chopstick rest brings humor, warmth, and craftsmanship to any Japanese or Western-inspired meal.

Chopstick Rest

When setting the table for a Japanese meal, chopstick rests (hashioki) are a must-have item. These rests are essential for hygiene so the chopsticks don’t touch the table. They are also a wonderful way to add whimsy, charm, and a personal touch to your table setting. With so many themes and designs to choose, chopstick rests are quite popular to collect. It's fun to switch them up for different seasons, menus, and occasions.

Arita Ware

Arita porcelain originates from an area known as Arita on the Island of Kyushu, Japan. It is known as the birthplace of fine Japanese porcelain, and the artisans of Arita have produced exceptional ceramic works for more than 400 years. The beautiful contrast between the porcelain and the hand-painting is obtained by using exceptionally high-quality porcelain stone, allowing the glazed surface to display a distinct glossy mirror with a rich ivory luster.
