Description

Designed to make mealtime easier and more comfortable, the Japanese Mealtime Masher Spoon is a compact stainless steel utensil that helps mash food into manageable pieces directly at the table.

Crafted in Japan, its unique four-window mashing head gently presses and breaks down soft foods while preserving some texture. The larger openings allow for coarser or finer results depending on the pressure and number of presses.

It can be used with potatoes, vegetables, tofu, rice dishes, and tender proteins, while also functioning as a spoon for foods with less liquid. It is especially useful for young children, elderly family members, and anyone who benefits from softer, easier-to-eat meals.

Tsubamesanjo

Located in Niigata Prefecture, Tsubamesanjo is one of Japan’s foremost centers of metal craftsmanship. The tradition began in the early Edo period, when local farmers began forging nails, forming a community of skilled metalworkers. Renowned for producing durable, finely crafted kitchenware and blades, the region now excels in stainless-steel kitchen tools, hand-hammered copperware, and finely sharpened knives. Each piece reflects generations of craftsmanship, admired for its enduring quality and precision.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
