Description

With its clean lines and petal-like geometry, this Geometric Blossom Rimmed Luncheon Plate brings both precision and charm to your table. The softly faceted form is inspired by layered flower petals, while the subtle spiral effect echoes traditional Japanese motifs such as pinwheels and chrysanthemum blooms.

Crafted from fine Hasami ware porcelain, the plate features gently rising sides that make it suitable for both Western and Japanese meals. It’s ideal for a refreshing salad, an open sandwich, or a beautifully plated rice dish. Available in two colors, the soft white porcelain is outlined in hand-painted lines of navy or vermillion, adding structure without overwhelming your food presentation.

This versatile plate fits naturally into a range of table settings. Whether used daily or for special gatherings, its balanced shape and refined details offer a quiet sense of harmony. Designed to complement both modern and traditional aesthetics, it’s a timeless piece that celebrates the beauty of thoughtful presentation.

More Details

Kourin Kiln

Founded in 1987 by potter Mitsuaki Ezoe, Kourin Kiln creates tableware that celebrates the serene beauty of hand-painted Gosu, the traditional cobalt-blue pigment used in Japanese ceramics. Each piece is painted by hand without stamps or transfers, using the kiln’s own pigments to bring subtle depth and individuality to every design. The smooth white porcelain and flowing blue glaze come together in quiet harmony, creating works that feel timeless and inviting for daily use.

Hasami Ware

The lineage of Hasami ware porcelain dates back over 400 years, and modern artisans still use many of the same time-honored methods to create their stunning pieces. Hasami ware, originating from the town of Hasami, shares close ties to porcelain from the Arita region of Japan, but each style produces its own unique pieces.
