Description

Rich and contemplative, the Frankincense Resin Incense carries the timeless fragrance of olibanum, long treasured for its calming presence. Blended with natural sandalwood and carefully selected aromatics, these incense sticks release a layered scent that combines citrus brightness with warm woody undertones. The deep, resinous aroma recalls centuries of ritual use, inviting stillness and reflection into modern spaces.

Each stick is sized for convenience, offering a slow, steady burn that suits daily meditation, quiet evenings, or altar offerings. The soft brown hue reflects the natural essence of the ingredients, adding to the sense of authenticity. A small fold-out aluminum holder is included for immediate use, though it does not collect ash. For a more elegant experience, pair these sticks with an artisan-crafted holder designed to secure the incense and catch ash beautifully. More than fragrance, this incense offers a way to bring harmony and a sense of history into your home.

Japanese Incense

The Japanese incense culture was introduced from India and China along with Buddhism around the 6th century. Initially, incense was used in temples for religious ceremonies. However, during the Heian period (794–1185), nobles began creating "takimono," blends of aromatic materials, to scent their rooms and clothing. This marked a shift from religious to secular use, integrating incense into daily life. In the Edo period (1603–1868), incense stick manufacturing techniques were introduced from China, leading to widespread use among the general populace. Today, incense is cherished for relaxation and enhancing living spaces, reflecting Japan's unique aesthetic and lifestyle.
